MAN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH PORTA-POTTY ARSON

A 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson in connection with a portable toilet that was set on fire in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood, according to police.

The incident occurred in the 2500 block of Clay Street, near Alta Plaza Park.

Albert Sodini, a San Francisco resident, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of four felonies including arson of property, arson to a structure, possession of a flammable with intent to set fire to a structure and malicious possession of a destructive device, according to police.

The case remains under investigation and no further details were immediately available.

MAN FOUND FATALLY SHOT IN MCLAREN PARK SUNDAY MORNING IDENTIFIED

A man found fatally shot in San Francisco’s John McLaren Park on Sunday morning has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as 18-year-old Jonathan Sauceda Caballero.

Sauceda Caballero was found at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday in the park in the southeast part of the city, police said.

No arrests had been made in the case and no suspect information was available as of Monday, according to police.

TWO SUFFER MODERATE INJURIES IN HOME INVASION ROBBERY MONDAY

Two people suffered moderate injuries in a home invasion robbery in Oakland Monday morning, according to the Oakland Police Department.

Oakland police officer K. Tran said the robbery took place at about 7:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of 24th Street. Tran said one of the victims is in the hospital in stable condition.

The suspect is at large, Tran said.

POLICE ASKING FOR INFORMATION ABOUT DEATH OF PEDESTRIAN

Police are asking for information about the death of a pedestrian in a hit-and-run collision in Oakland late Friday, police said.

Police said the collision occurred just after 11 p.m. in the 800 block of 28th Street.

Police found 47-year-old Oakland resident Royce Vaughn on the street and unresponsive after the vehicle struck him, police said.

Police are describing the vehicle as a white 2013 Toyota SUV, FJ cruiser.

Police said they think Vaughn may have been at a bar or restaurant before he died.

Police are describing Vaughn as a white man, 47 years old, 6 feet 4 inches tall, 220 pounds with dark curly hair and brown eyes. Vaughn was wearing a blue and white plaid shirt and gray jeans, police said.
