No under San Francisco’s ranked choice voting you do not have to list your first, second, and third choice candidates. In San Francisco elections voters can rank their top three choices, but you can choose to only vote for your first choice, or your first and second choice. For more information on ranked choice voting visit the San Francisco Department of Election’s webpage on ranked choice voting. Under ranked choice voting in San Francisco you can but don’t need to rank up to three candidates. To rank fewer than three candidates, leave any of the remaining columns blank.
