How can I prove my residency in order to get an SF City ID card?
The San Francisco City Clerk’s office requires you to prove your residency in San Francisco before you are eligible for a SF City ID card. There are a variety of ways to appropriately prove your residency in the city, but the requirements are strict.
The City and County of San Francisco provides a complete list of acceptable Identity and Residency Documents, which you should consult prior to going in for your appointment. Without the proper proof of residency, you cannot receive a SF City ID card.
