How do I get a copy of a fire report in San Francisco?
It depends on the type of fire report in San Francisco you need. Every San Francisco fire is documented by an incident report. For more information, questions, or additional incident research, please call the Bureau of Fire Investigation.
If you want a copy of a Fire Incident Reports (NFIRS), you must submit a written request. Mail or take the request to the Bureau of Fire Investigation, 1415 Evans Avenue, San Francisco. There is a charge of $0.10 per page for any photocopies. Checks should be made payable to “San Francisco Fire Department“.
For copies of Fire Investigation Reports, you need to first call the Bureau of Fire Investigation to see if an investigation report exists. If one does, you will need to submit a written request that includes the address of the fire and date of the incident. Mail or take the request to the Bureau of Fire Investigation, 1415 Evans Avenue, San Francisco. There is a charge of $0.10 per page for any photocopies.
