How do I report property damage caused by a hit and run accident?
If you have the accurate suspect license plate information, the San Francisco Police Department will provide you an official letter with the suspect vehicle owner’s registration information and instructions on how to pursue the case.
If you do not have the license plate number of the suspect vehicle, the San Francisco Police Department will still file your case but cannot provide you with a letter to verify the property damage.
