How long did it take to build Golden Gate Bridge?
The Golden Gate Bridge took slightly over four years to complete. Construction on the bridge began on January 5, 1933. The bridge was first opened to motor traffic on May 28, 1937. The bridge opened one day earlier for Pedestrian Day on May 27, 1937.
