I am not a US citizen, but I get CalWORKs assistance. Can I still get help paying for childcare (day care)?
According to the Human Services agency, you may still qualify for help paying for day care in San Francisco if you get CalWORKs assistance.
If you have received aid within the past 24 months for yourself (not only for your children) or you have received cash aid in the past and are working or participating in welfare-to-work activities, you are automatically eligible to receive help paying for childcare ? no matter what your immigration status. Families that get CalWORKs diversion may also receive CalWORKs childcare.
