I forgot to tag my Clipper Card when I got off Caltrain. What happens?
If you do not tag your Clipper Card when you got off Caltrain, you will be charged the maximum one-way fare from where you boarded Caltrain. This amount will be deducted from the cash balance on your Clipper card even if you have a monthly Caltrain pass or 8-ride ticket on your Clipper card. If after this deduction the value on your Clipper card is less than $1.25, you will need to add cash to your Clipper card before you will be able to ride Caltrain again.
