It depends on the holiday and the type of street sweeping. 7-day street sweeping is enforced on all federal holidays except New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. All meters on Port of San Francisco property are enforced 7 days a week all year, including holidays.

The following are a list of recognized holidays in San Francisco:

 

  • New Year’s Day – January 1st
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day – January 17th
  • President’s Day – February 21st 
  • Memorial Day – May 30th
  • Independence Day – July 4th
  • Labor Day – September 5th
  • Columbus Day – October 10th
  • Veteran's Day  – November 11th
  • Thanksgiving –  November 24th
  • Day After Thanksgiving – November 25th
  • Christmas Day, and Day After Christmas – December 25th & 26th
