What are the overdue fines for checked out items at the San Francisco Public Library?
The overdue fee for books, CDS, audiobooks, magazines and other materials is $0.10 per day. For videos (DVD,VHS,VCD), the overdue fine is $1.00 per day. A maximum fine of $5.00 will be charged for each item that is lost or not returned. Children and young adults under the age of 17 are exempt from overdue fines. Seniors who are age 65 and over only pay a $0.05 daily fine for all overdue items.
