First things first – if you are driving when an earthquake strikes, slow down and pull over. You may want to turn on your radio for emergency notifications of earthquake size and locations. If the shaking stops, you can proceed slowly on the road, but keep an eye out for road hazards, power cables or detours. Do not drive through water because it may be electrified. Get to a safe location and do not abandon your car unless it is absolutely necessary.
