What does a curb painted red mean in San Francisco?
Curbs painted red in San Francisco denote areas that are “No Parking” zones. Red zones are used for intersection corners, bus stops, fire hydrants, and the edges of driveways.
Red zones near driveways are usually two-foot red zones on each side of the driveway, to allow for cars to easily maneuver in and out of the driveway.
