What is the application process for the Police in the Community (PIC) Program offered by the SF Mayor’s Office of Housing (MOH)?
The first step in applying for the Police in the Community (PIC) Program offered to first-time homebuyers by the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Housing (MOH) is to complete a first-time homebuyer education course through one of MOH’s five approved housing counseling agencies. The five agencies offering the first-time homebuyer education course can be found here.
Once the course has been completed, the applicant must work with their realtor and loan officer/lender to prepare the PIC application package. The list of participating lenders for PIC can be found here. Once the applicant has completed your PIC application package, they will have to provide a number of documents including verification of employment and the last three months of bank statements. Details on the remaining steps that must be taken to complete the application process can be found here.
