The Civil Grand Jury in San Francisco reviews and analyzes the conduct of county government. The Civil Grand Jury in San Francisco investigates the operations of the various officers, departments and agencies of the government of the City and County of San Francisco.
The Civil Grand Jury has 19 members who serve for a period of one year from July through June 30 the following year. All Civil Grand Jury members are selected at random from a pool of 30 prospective grand jurors.
