Where does the money for San Francisco’s city budget come from?
The City of San Francisco gets funding from a combination the revenue sources generated by local taxes as well as support from the state of California and the federal government. For the 2009-2010 fiscal year, service charges and property taxes were two of the largest source of funds for the San Francisco city budget.
